Jakarta (ANTARA) - Lagu "Dance the Night" yang dinyanyikan penyanyi Inggris-Albania Dua Lipa adalah singel utama dari soundtrack film adaptasi live-action boneka Mattel, "Barbie", yang hits tahun 2023.
Dua Lipa menulis "Dance The Night" bekerja sama dengan penulis lagu Norwegia Caroline Ailin, dan dengan Mark Ronson dan Andrew Wyatt, yang keduanya menggubah musik untuk film tersebut.
Gubahan musik Wyatt dan Ronson juga mendapat sentuhan dari duo produser Prancis Picard Brothers dalam produksi lagu, sehingga sukses menggabungkan nuansa pop dan disko yang enerjik serta lirik penuh makna tentang menyembunyikan kesedihan di balik senyum.
Lirik lagu itu bercerita tentang seseorang yang selalu tampak sempurna secara eksternal, meskipun sebenarnya sedang bersedih.
"Dance the Night" dinominasikan untuk beberapa kategori penghargaan Grammy ke-66, termasuk "Song of the Year" dan "Best Song Written for Visual Media", tapi tidak menang.
